Happy Easter! Making desserts for family gatherings and holidays is one of my favorite things to do. I always have this problem where I can’t just pick one thing to make because I always think of so many ideas that would not only be delicious but so darn cute too. This beautiful Easter dessert board idea was the perfect solution to not being stuck only making one thing. I decided to tweak a few recipes to make everything mini so you could try more than one thing. I think it turned out so beautiful with all the spring colors and flavors!
Now, first things first, you’ll need to get to baking! I started with the Easter egg cake pops because they take a little longer to decorate than the others but totally worth it.
You can see how I made these adorable East egg cake pops here:

These cake pops really add the fun spring pastel colors to the board and are always a hit with the kids!

How to Make Sugar Cookie Cups
The lemon and fruit pizza cookie cups use the exact same sugar cookie cup but just have different fillings. These couldn’t be easier to make since I used a prepared mix for the cookies!
I chose Pillsbury sugar cookie mix for these. You could also use premade dough you find in the refrigerated section of the grocery store too. One batch of cookie dough is enough for one of the fillings so if you want to make both you’ll need to do two batches.
- Step 1-Prepare the cookie mix per instructions on package
- Step 2-Use a tablespoon scoop and form the dough into balls, place into mini cupcake tin (do not press it down)
- Step 3-Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes
You cookie dough will spread and puff up while cooking like the picture below. It is important not to overbake these so when you see light browning around the outside that means they are done.
Immediately after taking these out of the over, you will need to press down the middle to create the cups. I do this with a teaspoon. The centers will look like its not fully baked but it will set up once they cool. As long as you see browning around the outside they are just right!
How to Make Lemon Curd
Now, on to the delicious lemon curd filling. This curd completely changed my lemon hating husband’s mind about lemon. It is creamy, slightly sour, and just sweet enough. Here is how you make it:
Lemon Curd
Ingredients
- 6 tbsp Softened Butter
- 1 cup Sugar
- 4 Eggs (2 full, 2 yolks)
- 2/3 cup Lemon Juice
Instructions
- Cream together softened butter and sugar.
- Mix in 2 eggs and just the yolks from the other 2 eggs. Beat to combine.
- Add lemon juice and mix until combined. It will be a little lumpy.
- Pour filling into a saucepan over medium heat.
- Whisk constantly for 5 minutes, or until smooth and thickened.
- Let curd cool for 5 minutes before spooning into cookie cups.
After you make your lemon curd, scoop it into your cookie cups using a small cookie scoop or spoon.
The fresh lemon is perfect for spring time and sure to be a crowd pleaser!
How to Make Fruit Pizza Sauce
My fruit pizza sauce consists of cream cheese, marshmallow creme, and frozen whipped topping. Couldn’t be easier to make! Here’s how you make it:
Fruit Pizza Sauce
Ingredients
- 8 oz Cream Cheese (Softened)
- 7 oz Marshmallow Creme
- 1 cup Frozen Whipped Topping (Thawed)
Instructions
- Beat cream cheese until light and fluffy.
- Mix in marshmallow creme until well combined.
- Fold in frozen whipped topping.
Once you have the sauce ready to go, you can use a piping bag to easily fill each cookie cup. I store these in the refrigerator until it’s time to serve. Then top with your favorite fruit right before serving. I like to cut the fruit up pretty small so I can fit a few different kinds on each tiny cookie cup. This time I used strawberries, kiwi, and blueberries.
How to Make a Beautiful Easter Dessert Board
Once all your mini desserts are made, you can begin to assemble your board. I liked them all lined up with each variety right next to each other and then just refilled the board as needed. The nice wood board made all the desserts really pop! It turned out so beautiful and everything was absolutely delicious.
Thanks for taking the time to read my post and I hope you have an amazing Easter this year! I hope you try creating this beautiful Easter dessert board! You won’t be disappointed if you do.
Happy Easter! 🐰🐥
